Visiting Walnut Park

The best way for parents to decide if Walnut Park is the right fit for their child is to attend a visiting day. Visiting days are held every Tuesday from October through April with the exception of school vacations and no school days. If you interested in attending a visiting day, please register here.

What to expect at a Walnut Park Visiting Day

Visiting Days begin at 9am in the ballroom of Walnut Park Montessori School. We begin with a presentation about our school, its history and philosophy as well as an overview of the Montessori curriculum. Parents tour the school and are invited to observe in a classroom. There is also an opportunity to ask questions.

For the purposes of this visit we ask that children do not accompany parents. It is difficult for young children to understand they are unable to go into the classrooms and play with the children who are working, which presents a distraction for families who would like to ask questions and for the children and teachers in the classroom.

Learning More about Montessori

Prospective parents are invited to join current parents as well as friends and other members of our community at monthly parent education sessions- “Montessori Mornings.”  Click here to see the Montessori Mornings schedule.  Please sign up by emailing the Admissions Office.
