CurriculumThe materials in each classroom support the Montessori curriculum areas of everyday living, sensorial, language, math, geography, science, and culture. The curriculum is enhanced with programs in music, art, Spanish, gym, library, and computer as well as an invitation to participate in studying chess. Activity days, wherein outside educational companies are contracted to visit Walnut Park, also serve to enrich the curriculum. Withdrawal PolicySince the $500 is non-refundable, the BALANCE of tuition will be divided by nine. If your child should withdraw from the school after the first of the month, you are responsible to pay the full month’s tuition. TransportationFamily arranged. After-School ProgramKids’ Corner, an after-school program, which serves children from both Jackson and Walnut Park, is located in the ballroom of Walnut Park. Sessions are available from 11:30-2:30, 2:30-5:30, or 11:30-5:30. A child must be accepted into Jackson-Walnut Park Schools to register. Please contact Walnut Park. In addition, many after-school enrichment classes are offered. Flyers with information on these classes are available each fall & spring. |
